NTM is an open-source local control plane for managing multiple AI coding agents via named tmux sessions with routing, safety controls, and durable automation.

NTM (Named Tmux Manager) is a local tmux-based control plane for developers running multiple AI coding agents. It helps you manage a multi-agent software project from one local system by spawning labeled sessions, routing work across panes, and retaining operational state. Key features: • Session orchestration – spawn, label, inspect, and manage agent panes in named tmux sessions • Work triage – use its br and bv integrations to surface next work, blockers, and impact • Coordination tools – send work across panes and use Agent Mail, file reservations, and worktrees • Safety controls – apply policy, approval workflows, and guards around dangerous operations • Durable automation – use checkpoints, timelines, audit trails, robot output, and a local REST/WebSocket API It’s open-source under the MIT license, with an additional rider.
